So I know that when I read a BA Stretke book, insta-love is a thing, but I found it jarring to read that Quincy was scared about being expected to bottom, since he'd never done it, to reveling in double penetration his very first time, and without much in the way of either lube or prep. There is insta-love, and then there is simply ridiculous, and this book crossed that line.Having said that, I did like the story, and I love that we are seeing the plot thicken around things not being as isolated as we had first assumed. Someone is working to take down Louis DuCane, and yet, it seems that every time they test the coven's defenses, they merely end up strengthening it. Ironic that if they had simply avoided him to begin with, they might have actually been able to catch the coven unawares, but all they are doing is ensuring that the DuCane coven is prepared when the attack will inevitably occur.
